Connie is fabulously gifted and her art is inspiring, beautiful and soothing.

I am not an artist in any sense of the word. When Connie offered her classes I went along because of my friendship to others in the class and because Connie’s nature meant that we wouldn’t be scoffed at for our attempts. To my surprise I loved what I was learning. To my greater surprise, my efforts immediately resulted in beautiful colors and passable shapes. Connie’s method of teaching allows us to paint with such freedom and abandon. She teaches with a complete sense of beauty and encouragement. Really, after many years, I feel a similar sense of freedom and flow entering my non-artistic life. Can I say, “I even almost feel like an artist,” thanks to Connie and her methods.

Never be afraid of the blank page again! Connie always inspires me to try new ways to achieve my vision. As an uptight botanical artist it is not “natural” to let colours flow and to let lines become support and emphasis for each other. I have learned new ways to hold the brush, new colours to use, and she has given me new confidence to attack that blank page that stares back at me! Her classes are fun and make me happy every time. Connie paints the most loose beautiful interpretations of our wonderful Rocky Mountains and I hope some of her techniques rub off on me.

Connie’s classes are always fun and informative. She clearly enjoys what she is doing and her enthusiasm is contagious. I always learn a lot in her classes and also remember plenty of things that I already knew.
